Position Overview:
As Group Management Accountant at InstaGroup, you'll play a crucial role in managing the reporting of the Group results, working closely with the Finance team and Business Divisions. Your responsibilities will include production and indepth analysis of the Group’s consolidated financial results and KPI’s, reconciling the balance sheet accounts with the Assistant Management Accountant, overseeing our stock accounting and cashflow forecasting.
This will include:
- Full ownership of the month end accounts, including timely preparation of consolidated management accounts, supporting commentary and production of the monthly Reporting Pack.
- Responsible for Group P&L reconciliations, including revenue and gross margin analysis by Business Unit.
- Full responsibility for entity and Group balance sheet reconciliations.
- Improve and streamline financial reporting processes and controls.
- Weekly Cashflow forecasting for each Business Unit.
- In depth monitoring and analysis of financial performance against Budget / Targets / Forecasts.
- Manage the monthly stock take process, monthly reporting and reconciliation of stock movements.
- Production of forecasts, budgeting and forecasting process.
- Management & reporting of Business Unit KPI’s, working closely with Divisional Managers to ensure that the financial performance & KPI’s are accurately recorded, reconciled and reported.
- Provide support and cover for other members of the finance team (Business Partner & Assistant Management Accountant).
- Weekly 1:1s and quarterly Development Reviews with the Assistant Management Accountant.
- Ad-hoc analysis and investigations for the Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
- Preparation of year end documentation and support with the year end audit.
- Working with the Group Financial Controller to improve and review company policies and procedures.
- Able to deputise for the Group Financial Controller when required.
- Superuser for the current ERP system, responsible for administration and day to day maintenance, highlighting training and development requirements.
