What we are looking for
We’re looking for a proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team and play an important role in helping the business get paid on time while maintaining strong relationships with our customers.
This role is about more than chasing debt. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, working with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, manage risk and improve the overall health of our debtor book.

What You’ll Be Doing
Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and ensuring invoices are paid in line with agreed terms
Proactively chasing outstanding payments by phone and email
Monitoring debtor balances and reducing aged debt
Supporting efforts to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improve debtor ageing
Resolving payment queries by working closely with sales, operations and finance teams
Escalating potential bad debts and supporting legal recovery processes where required
Maintaining accurate account records and credit notes
Building positive relationships with customers while maintaining a firm and professional collections approach
Providing regular updates on aged debt and collection activity
What We’re Looking For
3–4+ years’ experience in a credit control role
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Confident using Excel and financial data
A self-starter who takes ownership of their accounts and follows issues through to resolution
Experience improving debtor ageing and reducing DSO
Experience managing potential bad debts and legal recovery processes
Comfortable working in a business that continues to evolve and improve
Construction, contracting or project-based industry experience would be beneficial
Someone who aligns with InstaGroup’s values and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team

Debtor balances are well managed and aged debt is reducing
Customers are communicated with professionally and consistently
Payment issues are resolved quickly through collaboration with internal teams
The finance team has clear visibility of debt risk and collection progress
